Can true love conquer death? What happens when those that die have unfinished business? Is it possible for those that leave to help those still here with their unsettled endings? "Find Me Again:" Can true love conquer death? What happens when those that die have unfinished business? Is it possible for those that leave to help those still here with their unsettled endings? "Find Me Again" is a story about love that dares to do just that."Find Me Again" begins just over a year before 9/11; many of the mysteries in the story revolve in some way around that infamous day. Much of the story is not about 9/11, but a key player in the story proves to be tightly involved in the events of that day. The conspiracy theory and mysterious side to this story help make it a great read, but what intrigues me the most is how intricate the people are woven together in this story; most of them oblivious to these associations until well into it.
Taylor comes home for his Aunt Beatrice’s funeral with a surprise that his uncle who had also passed had willed to him his controlling portion of the family business. The inheritance comes with strings attached, however. Taylor is to settle some unfinished business for his uncle; his request was to research his family history and seek out his ancestor’s (Samuel White) true love, a nurse from the Bowen family.
Jace is the most recent relative that has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her ancestors of old. She is a holistic nurse recovering from a bad divorce that left her broke. But Jace was also gifted by her mother’s family history that leaves her to believe that she must help settle the dead as well. Her research leads her to discover that the Bowen and White families are linked. Jace feels a strong obligation to seek the answers to several questions that surface in relation to her mission.
While Taylor and Jace appear to be the key players in this story, they are far from the only ones. All of the characters developed in this story are intriguing and leave you wanting to know more of their story. From Jace’s cousin Zack with intelligence enough to get her into a high level government job, but country enough to allow her to fly through desert training and surpass expectations of her. Zach also has the unique gift of mind reading and she may also be an empath. Zack alone adds an amazing character to the story and she is just one of many.
"Find Me Again" is a mystery, a conspiracy theory and an amazing love story that crosses generations---all combined into one amazing read. It leaves you quickly turning the page wondering how each person really plays out in the story, and an ending that tells you this story is far from over making it an entertaining and engaging read. This reviewer highly recommends it and is looking forward to reading the first two books in this fascinating and well-researched trilogy from Janet K. Shawgo: "Look for Me" and "Wait for Me."

Janet Shawgo does it again! The final book in the trilogy does not disappoint! Multi-faceted storyline that ties together nicely. Certainly glad I found "Find Me Again"!
This is a satisfying ending to the White-Shaw, Bowen, and Keens family saga that spans across three couples and three periods of war. Taylor Shaw is the latest in a long line of journalists who go into harm's way to cover wars. Jace Bowen is a traveling nurse, carrying on the legacy of the women in her family who have been nurses and healers. Zack Keens, new recruit to the CIA, is also living up to the brave women in her past who have served their country in times of war. While their ancestors were involved in the Civil War and World War II, this generation is caught up in the events leading to and after the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
The tension really builds as Taylor and Jace each separately try to track down their family history, finding bit by bit that they are destined to meet and fulfill their ancestors' wishes. There is also an element of danger as an ex-CIA agent is hunting various members of the family for his own gains.
The intricate family connections are staggering, and it does help that this book includes family trees. Even more family connections are discovered as the book goes along.
An intriguing ending has you wondering what A.R.C. and the rest of the characters will be up to next.
This was an amazing book, really. Tied the three stories up nicely together and I loved how all the books were so closely connected. This one really hit home as it followed the events of September 11, 2001. The story created off those events was well told and emotional.
The whole series, including this book, has been a bit haunting. Seems like a huge labor of love as all facts are well researched and come together rather flawlessly. I truly loved learning all about the Bowens, White-Shaw, Keens, and Benjamin families. So wonderful to see it all come together.
Jace and Taylor are such amazing characters, so kind and giving and selfless...two souls always meant to find one another...but, finally connecting was not at all easy. I found myself in such anxiety waiting for it to happen.
Touching
Emotional
Understated action
Hope, for the characters and reader!!!
And, happy to realize that it might not all end just yet!!! Really great story telling. Such as that you feel connected to these families, wishing to be able to hold their history in your hands. So happy I gave the series a chance!
In the third book of the Look for Me trilogy, Janet Shawgo exhibits an intriguing way of wrapping up the saga, while leaving the door open for another book that could, perhaps, answer the question of "What happens to ARC?" I loved the way the three couples finally find one another, with an almost happy ever after ending. The first book is set during the Civil Was and the travel nurses who had little to work with besides what they find in nature and the recipes passed down from those past. The second book takes to WWII, where we learn more about the travel nurses, the French resistance, and how the families from book one begin to become even more entwined. Now in book three, the intrigue and mystery are revealed as puzzle pieces, one by one to bring more clarity with each piece. I loved this book and am going to miss these characters who I've grown to love. Shawgo has crafted a story that will remain with me for sometime, and these three books will be ones I will read again and again. I can only hope that this wonderful author will return with further updates about these fascinating characters.
Janet definitely has a gift for writing. I couldn't put the book down. Great read!!!
